Garvey Neighborhood cleanup 2/9/2014

When: February 9, 2014(Sunday)
Time: 9:00 am - 11:00 am
Meet up spot: Garvey Park Playground
Officer(s) attending: Alan Duong, Nancy Lam, Kristy Wang

Park cleanup? I think not! Truth is, all cool people clean up neighborhoods rather than just parks so I welcome you all to this wonderful Sunday event. In this event, be sure to meet up at our usual spot at the park's playground. We will have one goal: to pick up trash so well that even streets would give us a pat on the back. Be sure to dress appropriately, preferably in clothes you wouldn't mind getting dirty in. Some sunscreen is also recommended depending on the weather. Other than that, trash bags and gloves WILL be provided. On behalf of cabinet and potential cabinet, we hope to see you there!

Location: Vincent Lugo Park
Officer(s) Attending: Jestin Ma

Yes... this is one small park to clean up for two hours...and no...we will not be playing in the playground!
The least I can do to make that up is compensation. I promise FREE gloves and trash bags for everyone!(Just kidding we usually do that on a typical basis anyways)

Anyways, in this event we will not only clean Vincent Lugo Park but also its surrounding area. Please dress appropriately. The only thing you would need to bring with you is some ELBOW GREASE!

Sign up below with your FULL name and ID. Hope to see you there because park clean-ups are more fun than festivals!

Service Hours Update - February 2nd, 2014

     It's not even Halloween though!

----------
1.) Recycling / Project Reach Services on January 24th, 2014.
     2.) Club Meeting on January 23rd, 2014.
----------

I'll admit that I forgot to collect Bottle Crushing hours last Friday. There's not much to update on due to the lack of a meeting and recycling service this Friday, as well as the cancellation of Habitat Restoration. I'll record the hours on Monday, and update them ASAP. If you talked to me and your name is still not on the list, I most likely forgot, so please remind me. Anyway, good luck to all potential members running for cabinet!
*Obligatory Disclaimer: Feel free for check for any silly mistakes and stuff that I might've done wrong. If I did miss anything, go ahead and tell me on Facebook or email us at sghsenvironmental@gmail.com. I'll double check and fix it ASAP.

Hello environmental club! It looks like it's that time of the month again. Peck Park! If you guys still don't know what we do at this service, we basically do 3 hours of pruning. Snacks and water are provided along with tools so all you have to bring is your environmental spirits! Make sure you guys dress appropriately meaning closed toed shoes and you should know the rest. In addition, because of my caring mood at the moment, I suggest you guys to put on some sunblock and get to this service in clothes you wouldn't mind getting dirty in.Yes, you will be sweating a little.

Note for seniors: Keep in mind that this will probably conflict with cash for college!

We'll be meeting up a little past the parking lot so make sure you guys make a turn when you see a sign like this.

 Turn should look like this:

Service Hours Update - January 17th, 2014

With a new semester comes a new service sheet, with slightly different formatting. It looks a lot cleaner than the previous one. I've fixed majority of the ID errors and the list is much smaller now. As I've announced, the final services for Semester 1 were included on first record, however I did not make a post about it because it only included one service - that being a Park Clean Up.

----------
Without further ado, our first updates include:
1.) Recycling / Project Reach Services on:
                  - January 10th, 2014
                  - January 17th, 2014
            2.) Club meetings on:
                  - January 9th, 2014
                  - January 16th, 2014
3.) Bottle Crushing is now updated to January 17th, 2014!
----------

First order of business, please, and I mean, please check if you are still in the club before attending any future events! This time I am not adding your service hours to the previous semester, so you won't be earning any credit! I cannot stress this enough. I don't want anyone wasting their time doing labor without credit, unless you seriously love recycling as a form of entertainment.
Second, the new yellow highlighting denotation means that the specified people must make up their missing hours for the 3rd Quarter or else they will be removed from the roster.
If there are any questions or concerns regarding previous semester's hours, please bring them to me. I will try my best to work things out with you, but remember that there's a line that I must draw every once in awhile. I am willing to take requests for hour recounts in Quarter 2. Take these requests to me or email us. I will make sure that the inbox is checked regularly for the rest of my term. I apologize for neglecting it for so long.

P.S. Once again, remember to check if you're still listed on the roster before attending any future events.
