1st Meeting Recap

It was great to see so many people attend our meeting. Welcome to the club! So, for those who don't already know, meetings will be held every Thursdays in the multipurpose room unless the room is reserved for something else. In that case, follow the sign that we will post on the door. Recycling and Project reach, two of our primary events, occur every Friday. Our first recycling/Project Reach turned out to be a major success! Thank you all that attended; we recycled way more than we expected to. :)

Unfortunately, last year, there were a number of members who did not remain active in the club, so we now have to implement new requirements. Members must attend two meetings a month and obtain 3 hours of service per semester. We understand that sports or other school activities might prevent you from coming to recycling or Project Reach so we will try to find outside events that will be more convenient.

Applications will be due in two weeks (September 22, 2011), but if you're done early just turn them in at the next meeting.

Seniors, if you want to find out your total number of hours visit Mr. Osborne. He has the hours list and will sign off on the total.

Future Goals: - beach clean-up (we'll schedule the bus in time this year ;) )
                       - recycling bins for bottles around the school
                       - field trips
